Vintage Vogue: Cowboys + Indians

Western wear and Navajo inspired looks have been strong over the summer with chambray button up work shirts and Southwestern vibe prints. They work nicely into the fall and winter months adding a cozy, Americana feel to your wardrobe.

Vintage Vogue: Ethnic Prints

The name for my shop came out of my specific love vintage inspiring today's trends. Personally, I'm not that vintage person who obsesses over one decade or style fashion-wise. For example, personally I don't "get" the rockabilly look. It's cute, retro and fun but seems impractical and dated to me.  No disrespect to those folks out there who live the vintage style to a T, it's just not for me.

For the most part I'm drawn to items that I can see my fashionable college age sisters wearing. Pieces that I could see on the girls on the streets of my neighborhood in Brooklyn. Trends on the pages of magazines, translated to everyday wear, translated further from vintage fashion past.

Lately, I've been drawn to ethnic style prints. Add a little southwestern vibe, a touch of tapestry, and a healthy dose of tribal. Two recent additions to my shop are this 70's Ann Taylor jacket and a simple navy rayon border print skirt.
