I sell on Etsy and one of the many sections to choose how to accurately describe your item is a drop down menu of Styles. You're allowed to pick two and it's an optional section. I almost always use this option because it actually usually gives me an idea of how to market or describe whatever piece I might be listing. There's probably about 60 different choices and I've decided to blog about each of them at some point.
Today's Styles post is Art Deco. Being born in NYC, Art Deco is always the Chrysler Building to me. The best looking skyscraper in the world!

The style is often characterized by rich colors, bold geometric shapes, and lavish ornamentation and dates from the 20's, 30's and into the 40's. A perfect example of the style is in the upcoming movie The Great Gatsby. Leonardo DiCaprio, YUM.
